These small cottages were designed as a prototype for medium to long term transition housing in disaster areas. At no more than 700 sq. feet the units can be shipped and assembled on site to sit on foundations, slabs or temporary pads. Units are constructed of structural insulated panels that form open square components allowing flexibility in configuration. One and two story units will be utilized and determined by site conditions, footprint availability and accessibility requirements. The cottages will be self-contained harnessing wind and solar power and recycled water for non-potable pluming functions.
