DESCRIPTION:

B2lab collaborated as the design architect for a mixed-use project with 24,000 sf of commercial office space on the ground floor.  The upper 4 levels contain 110  apartment units of 1,2 and 3 bedrooms.  The facility occupies a vacant lot adjacent to a large community college that provides intense trade courses and support for the metro area.  To address housing for the neighboring community and the college, our team undertook a series of iterations that explored size, configuration, and access.  Living units were required to meet HUD standards, while the commercial space had to appeal to amenity services that enhance the living experience and provide potential support services to the college and community.   B2lab collaborated with BVH Architecture, which served as the architect of record for the project.
