B2lab collaborated as the design architect for a mixed-use project with 24,000 sf of commercial office space on the ground floor. The upper 4 levels contains 110 apartment units consisting of 1,2 and 3 bedrooms. The faciliy occupies a vacated lot adjacent to a large community college that provides strong trade courses and support for the metro area. In order to address housing for the adjacent community and the college, our team undertook a series of iterations that explored size, configuration and access. Living units were required to meet HUD standards while the commercial space had to appeal to amnenity services that enhance the living experience and provide potential support services to the college and community. B2lab collaborated with BVH Architecture who served as the Architect of Record for the project.
